Rare Galaxy from "Dawn of time" Photographed

An ancient galaxy that formed just after the birth of the universe has been photographed by telescopes on Earth and in space, and is the brightest galaxy ever seen at such remote distances, astronomers say.

The blob-shaped galaxy, called GN-108036, is about 12,9 billion light years away and appears as it existed just 750 million years after the universe began. The universe, for comparison, is baout 13,7 billion years old

But the sheer distance to the galaxy isn´t the only thing to intrigue scientists. The galaxy is also creating stars at a furious pace, making it a rare cosmic find. NASA officials described the galaxy as shining from the "dawn of time", with star formation inside it occurring at a "shockingly high rate"

"The discovery is surprising because previous surveys had not found galaxies this bright so early in the history of the universe", said Mark Dickinson of the National Optical Astronomy Observatory in Tucson, Ariz, in a statement announcing the find on Wednesday (Dec, 21). "Perhaps those surveys were just too small to find galaxies like GN-108036. It may be a special, rare object that we just happened to catch during an extreme burst of star formation"

This image from the Hubble and Spitzer space telescopes shows one of the most distant galaxies known, called GN-108036, dating back to 750 million years after the Big Bang that created our universe. The galaxy's light took 12.9 billion years to reach us. The galaxy's discovery was announced on Dec. 21, 2011.

Last minute!!!!!!!!!

The news of the change of horoscope’s dates revolutionized the world!!!!

  • The Planetary Society of Minnesota says that the zodiacal signs are "poorly adjusted" because the star have changed their position.
  • According to them, there are 13 zodiacal sings instead of 12 horoscopes
  • The new zodiacala sign will be named Ophiuchus

According to the Planetary Society of Minnesota, when the astrologers speak of Pisces, most of the time they would refer, without knowing it, to Aquarius. And when they make about Geminis, they refer to cancer. The explanation is that the star have changed the position in the last 2000 years because the gravity of the moon. Which also affect the orientation of the Earth´s galaxies

Therefore, the signs that we use today, created 20 centuries ago, are useless because they rely on outdated and incorrect positions

Horocopes: Shorter and new

To fix the astral problem, Parke Kunkle, a member of the Planetary Society of Minnesota, proposed reducing the number of days of each zodiacal signs and add a new one for remaining days called Ophiuchus

The followers of the stars shouldn´t worry, warned Kunkle: there is no evidence that the zodiacal signs have some influence on the character, so be one or the other would not matter

The news has been rejected by numerous representatives of his matter and the astrologer Walter Mercado said that, for now, the zodiac "will remain as is"

Origin of constellations names

Mithology, and the constellations

Aries:

In Greek mythology, Ophiuchus is a legendary physician who tried to become inmortal to avoid death. Zeus killed him with a bolt of lightening, but honored him because of good works.

How to locate the zodiac constellations.

First you need a clear night sky

The steps for locate your zodiac signs, are:

  1. Aries( the Ram): This constellation can be found by drawing lines from either Pisces or Taurus. It is the small triangle that is not beside Andromeda (there are two in that area)
  2. Taurus ( the Bull):This constellation appears to be a "V".It is most easily found by looking at Orion's belt stars (three stars in a line). Trace a line a through these stars and follow it to the right until you hit a bright red star. This star is called Aldebaran, and is the eye of the Bull. The "V" it is part of his Taurus
  3. Gemini( the Twins): This constellation can also be found by using Orion. When looking at Orion, you will see the three belt stars surrounded by four stars marking Orion's feet and shoulders. The lower right star is the bright star Rigel. The top left star is the red giant Betelgeuse. Starting at Rigel, going through the middle belt star, onto Betelgeuse and continue in this line will bring you to two stars of equal brightness. These are Castor and Pollux, the stars that make up Gemini
  4. Cancer(the Crab): This is the single hardest constellation to find in the night sky. It requires a completely dark sky. The constellation itself looks like an upside down "y". The best way to find Cancer is to find Taurus and Gemini, draw a line through them and continue on the left until you come to a big empty spot in the sky (it won´t take long). The big empty spot is Cancer
  5. Leo( the Lion): Using the same method you just used to find Cancer, keep tracing that line until you hit a backward question mark followed by a triangle. This is the stately Leo. The bright star at the end of Leo´s tail is Denebola, wich means "the tail". If you cannot find Taurus and Gemini, use the Big Dipper to hel you find Leo. Use the two pointer stars that help you find the Little Dipper, only this time trace them away from the North Star. These two stars will lead you to the triangle part of Leo
  6. Virgo( the Maiden): This is another constellation that us easily found off the Big Dipper. Start with the Big Dipper. Trace the handle away from the "bowl", and follow the arc to the bright star Arcturus. From there, continue on to the blue star Spica. Spica appears to be the center of a "Y" shaped constellation. This constellation is Virgo
  7. Libra (the Scales): Another constellation best located using the "draw a line around the sky" method. Libra looks like a square on one corner. The fun part of this constellation are the stars to the left. Both have rather long Arabic names: Zubenelganumi and Zubenesshameli
  8. Scorpio (the Scorpion): Again, draw a imaginary line through the constellations you have already located until you reach a constellation that looks like a fishing hook a bright red star in the middle of it. The stars is Antares, and the constalletion is Scorpio. Scorpio has been an important constellation to the people living in the Pacific Ocean. It has been a point of reference for fisherman moving between islands so they could find their way home.Scorpio was also well-known to the Ancient Greeks, and is possible proof of precession (the idea that the night sky has changed over time). The Greeks told a story about the mighty hunter Orion, a favored companion of the goddes Artemis. She spent much time with him that her brother Apollo became jealous. One day, when Artemis was off with her hunting maidens, Apollo sent a huge scorpion after Orion. A battle ensued, and as Orion was turning to escape the scorpion, it stung him and killed him. When Artemis learned of her friend's death, she was furious with her brother. To make amends with her, Apollo helped her hang Orion in the sky, but also hung the Scorpion to remind her of the power of his anger. The two played chase around the sky. Today, they still do, but they are never in the sky together
  9. Sagittarius(the Archer): Beside Scorpio is a cute little constellation that looks like a teapot. This is Saggitarius. A great way to help people see this constellation is to sing the Teapot Song while tracing Saggitarius. When you get to the part that says, "Tip me over and pour me out", trace the "steam" that appears to go through the "spout" of Saggitarius. This is the Saggitarius arm of the Milky Way, and when you look at it, you are looking toward the center of the galaxy
  10. Capricorn (the Goat): Use that line- drawing method you have been mastering all year to get from Saggitarius to Capricorn. The best way to describe this constellation is to share it's common nickname: the "Marilyn Monroe" smile. Capricorn literally looks like the out line of the big smile. Another way to find this constellation is to locate the triangle that the Milky. Way goes through. This is the Summer Triangle, and it points right at Capricorn
  11. Aquarius (the Water Bearer): This is another tricky one to find. Use your line drawing technique to draw a line from Capricorn to an oval shape of pairs of stars. This is the flowing water of Aquarius
  12. Pisces (the Fish): This one is tricky, but fun. Use the line drawing technique to get to a big square (this is really big square). You are looking for stars that go along two sides of the square, outside the square, that will meet at one corner of the square. At each end of these lines should be a round shape. This is Pisces. It is tricky to see exaclty wich stars belong to Pisces, and wich belong to it's fellow constellations Pegasus (the big square) and Andromeda (a "v" off one corner of Pegasus)

Important!!!!!:

Generally speaking you can never seen more than four to six od the Zodiac Constellations in the sky at the same time, but if you are patient, you can see as many as six to eight as the night goes on.

How do the signs of the zodiac relate to astronomy?

In astronomy, a belt around the heavens extending nine grades on either side od the eliptic, the plane of the earth's orbit and of the sun's apparent annual path. The orbits of the moon and of the principal planets also lie entirely within the zodiac. The twelve atrological signs of the zodiac are each considerd to occupy 1/12 (or 30°) of it's great circle, These signs no longer correspond to the astronomical constellations in which the sun actually appears. The constellations are irregular in size and chape, and the sun regulary passes through one constellation (Ophiuchus) that is not considered a member of the zodiac.

In astrology and the horoscope, each Zodiac sign represents a character, a tendency, which affects any celestial body therein. The planets express what happens, the Houses where it happens, the aspects why, and the Zodiac signs how.

Every  planet moves through the Zodiac, and changes character according to what sing it is in. The planets are the acting forces in the horoscope, but the zodiac signs nuance and alter their character

    History
The history of zodiac signs, it is strongly believe that the science of astrology and 12 zodiac signs are at least 3,000 years old.
Where these zodiac signs were originated? Well, it is also believed that the science 12 zodiac signs were originated in ancient Egypt and Babylonia, but when it comes to the advanced study of zodiac signs two countries seem to hold a dominating position i.e. India and China. Chinese astrology is also world famous and it uses animals (a 12 year cycle, each named after an animal) for the names of the years. That's because in these countries many astrologers and soothsayers known to use different animal and human signs to predict the future and destiny of people.
As far as documentary proofs are concerned, zodiac signs were known to be in use by Roman era inherited by Hellenistic astronomy from Babylonian astronomy from the Chaldean period. Evidently, earlier fortunes and destinies of highly influensive people such as kings and merchants were told by priests and astrologers so that these influensive people could take all necessary steps to safeguard their own interests and the interests of their people.
